As detailed in the Airflow Illustration, air is drawn down through the worksurface grille (1) and into the rear plenum chamber (2). From here, it is drawn through the pre-filter (3) followed by the main activated carbon filter [ What is Activated Carbon? ] (4) in the head unit. Clean air then exits the top of the cabinet via the quiet integral centrifugal fan (5). The pre-filters can be easily changed without disturbing the main 9kg Carbon filter which itself can be changed through the front panel.
The large area rolled front worksurface is removable to facilitate retrieval of any foreign objects that may pass through the working grille. In addition to this, underneath the grille is a spillage tray to ensure that any accidents are contained. To the rear of the working area, there is a non-perforated area at the back to allow for the storage of chemicals.
The compact, adaptable design of the WS6 makes a variety of installation formats possible according to individual needs. For example several WS6 units can be positioned together to provide a continuous run of workspace. |
